Direct FAQs & Sentence Structure

FAQ extraction example showing why a complete standalone answer is easier for an answer engine to quote.

A direct FAQ is a Question-and-Answer block on a service page, written so each answer is short, self-contained, and quotable without any surrounding context.

The rule that matters

Every answer must make sense lifted out of the page.

A customer reading your page understands that "Yes" refers to the question above it. An answer engine quoting that sentence in isolation gives its user nothing.

WeakStrong
"Yes.""Yes, Acme Plumbing offers 24/7 emergency call-outs across Richmond and Melbourne's inner east."
"We charge a standard rate.""Acme Plumbing charges a $95 call-out fee, waived if you proceed with the repair."
"Most jobs, same day.""Acme Plumbing completes most blocked drain jobs the same day, subject to availability."

Each strong version contains a subject, a service and a place. That's what makes it liftable.
